For younger players, it’s especially exciting, immersive, and a great chance to get them outdoors. Not all kids will have played mini paintball before, so here’s a beginners guide before you get involved!

Paintball is often a sport that people assume is strictly for adults, due to the authentic combat and use of weapons. But in truth, it’s actually safer than a day at a skatepark and many other activities. Mini paintball embraces all of the engaging aspects of paintballing, while incorporating safety precautions for younger players, none of which sacrifice authenticity or the brilliant sense of competition.

In this post, we’ll point out some of the ways mini paintball is different from regular paintball and offer some essential advice for new players.

How Does it Differ from Adult Paintball?

Here at GO Paintball London, we strive to provide all players with the best possible paintballing experience, but our number one priority will always be safety. This is why we use age-appropriate equipment for players aged between 8–11. These low-impact guns prevent any soreness from being hit, while maintaining enough power to shoot from a distance.

Mini paintball is exclusive for ages 8–11 to make sure that the games are fair and that competition is healthy. Another exciting aspect is in-game collectables, such as riot shields, sniper rifles and other types of equipment. These are strategically placed throughout the map to throw a spanner in the works and give those lucky enough to stumble upon them a tactical advantage.

The Best Paintball Party London Has to Offer

When it comes to birthday parties, it’s difficult to think of a more unique and memorable activity than paintball. Here are a few quick pieces of information to let you know what to expect in regards the activity itself, as well as the cost:

• Mini paintball parties are an exclusive two and a half hour session (12pm-2:30pm)
• This will cost £299 for up to eight players
• Beyond that, additional players will cost an extra £30. So, feel free to rally as many troops as you like!

One concern a lot of people have with paintball is that they will end up spending a fortune on additional paintballs. That isn’t the case with mini paintball, as all players are fully reloaded after every game, at no extra cost.

• Team Tactics are Vital:
  Although there’s something very appealing about going into ‘lone wolf’ mode, it’s an excellent way to get yourself shot and fail the objective. Team tactics are an essential element of paintball and communicating efficiently is crucial for planning ambushes and other manoeuvres.
• Cover and Covering Fire:
  Throughout our battlefields, you’ll find obstacles, forts and compounds that could and should be used as cover. Using cover allows you to hide safely while planning your next move, or shooting from cover to pick enemies off efficiently. Covering fire is a vital team tactic, as it means you and your teammates can navigate the map with protection and distracted enemies.
• Environmental Camouflage:
  Here at GO Paintball London, we have fifty acres of woodland battlefields for players to explore. This means that there is an abundance of trees and other foliage that provide the perfect camouflage for some stealthy tactics.
• Don’t Pick Up Paintballs from the Floor:
  If you’re just getting to grips with shooting our guns, you’re bound to miss a fair few shots. So from time to time, you’ll find yourself without ammo. If this happens, it’s important not to pick up paintballs found on the floor, as they can jam the gun. Your ammo will be refilled at the end of the game anyway. Plus, it’s worth remembering that your enemies don’t know that your weapon is empty, so they’ll still duck for cover when you shoot.
